Oct 31: End of project. 

We would like to thank all project participants – project partners’ teams, supervisors, mentors of supervised practice, psychologists beginners, psychology students, other psychologists that participated in our workshops, and all the interested public – for their valuable input. SUPER PSYCHOLOGISTS, you have planted the seeds of the future. We are looking forward to a great harvest.

Oct 26: Project results were presented at a national conference Od projektov do sistemskih rešitev (From projects to systemic solutions) organized by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Slovenia. Presentation

For psychologists and their employers we prepared a booklet on supervised practice and its significance.

We prepared the Guidelines for Implementing the Supervised Practice of Psychologists.

Sep 29: Project results were presented so at XII. Alps-Adria Psychology Conference in Rijeka, Croatia, in oral presentation What are the benefits of high-quality supervision? The results of the SUPER PSYCHOLOGIST project. Abstract

Sep 24: Project results were presented at the 7th International Congress of Slovenian psihologists in Kranjska Gora, Slovenia, in the symposium “Improvement of public health services in Slovenia – two Norway Grants 2009-2014 projects”. Our oral presentations: (i) SUPER PSIHOLOG 1: Educational programme for mentors of supervised practice and care for mental health, (ii) SUPER PSIHOLOG 2: Supervised practice of psychologists. July & August 2016

We were completing the book about the project and the guidelies for implementing supervised practice.

July 15: Project partners meeting for implementation of the developed system of supervised practce of psychologists.

June 2016

June 29: We invited Slovenian supervisors to a meeting to discuss and upgrade the training programme for mentors of supervised practice.

June 3: Meeting with Norwegian colleagues for preparation of guidelines. 

June 2: Project closing conference was carried out (title: Quality first steps into psychological work). Representatives of our Norwegian partner attended the conference and shared their perspectives on the project. Supervisors Mona Duckert and Bjarte Kyte carried out a workshop on supervision. Warm thanks to all other presenters as well.

Nov 18: An interim conference was carried out under the title “What kind of mentorship do we need? Experiences and transfer of good practices in mentoring psychologists”.

Nov 7: Another workshop in Module 3 was carried out about psychological first help and counseling after traumatic events.

Oct 17: Two workshops in Module 3 were carried out: about suicidal behaviur and about motivational interview.

Oct 13: Project team held a meeting dedicated to evaluation. We planned many activities for evaluating the project.

Oct 12: We had a meeting for preparing the interrim conference.

Oct 1: The project and EuroPsy certificate were promoted at the freshmen greetings at University of Ljubljana and University of Primorska.

September 2015

Sept 30: 3rd meeting of the project Steering Commitee was held.

Sept 24-27: Second part of Module 2 (trainings of supervisors and mentors) was carried out by Mona Duckert in Bjarte Kyte. Workshops for mentors within Module 2 have therefore been completed.

Sept 23: Public call for project evaluator was published.

Sept 15: We met with supervisors at SVRK. We carried out a meeting for planning the interrim conference.

Sept 12: Two workshops within Module 3 were carried out: about addiction and about ethics and data protection in psychological work.

Sept 9: We met with Brigita Rupar, the president of The Supervision Association and Tomaž Vec, one of the founders of and the lecturer in the Master programme Supervision, personal and organizational counseling, which is carried out at Faculty of education, University in Ljubljana. We discussed the views of these two organizations about supervision and about the options of future collaboration.

June 10: 2nd meeting of the project Steering Committee was held.

June 6: Two workshops within Module 3 were carried out: about burnout and about self-reflection and seeking help.

June 3: The project was presented at the 2nd academic-economic congress AEC 2015 in the paper “The project SUPER PSIHOLOG: Supporting psychologists beginners’ first steps into psychological practice”. The congress is an event organized by Life Learning Academia. The abstract of the presentation is available in the Book of Abstracts (p. 24).

April 12: Slovenian and Norwegian supervisors reflected on and evaluated the first part of Module 2.

April 10-11: Norwegian supervisors Mona Duckert and Bjarte Kyte carried out the first part of Module 2. Mentors learned experientally about different methods of supervision, such as reflective team, role play, and giving evaluative feedback (with observing the filmed session).

April 9: Norwegian supervisors came to Ljubljana and carried out a preparatory workshop for Slovenian supervisors of mentors.

April 1: Public call for project supervisor is published.

March 2015

March 31: Meeting of Slovenian project partners for preparing Modules 1 and 3

March 19: Web platform for communication between mentors, mentorees, supervisors of mentors and other participants in the project got open to public.

March 13-14 and 20-21: The first and the second part of Module 1 were carried out. Mentors learned about the competence-based supervised practice and got ready for implementing the internship with one psychology (MA) student.

March 12: Temporary web page http://www.europsy.si/index.php/super-psiholog.html was replaced by this great new web site developed specifically for this project.

March 11: EuroPsy, supervised practice and the SUPER PSIHOLOG project was introduced to students of biopsychology at FAMNIT, University of Primorska.

March 6: A meeting for the students who will participate in the process of supervised study practice.

February 2015

February 23: 25 mentors and 6 supervisors of mentors were chosen.

February 11: The project logo was developed.

February 5-7: 1st meeting of the Project Steering Committee was held at Faculty of Arts, University of in Ljubljana.

January 23: The project was introduced to 5th year students of psychology at University of Ljubljana.

January 21: The project was introduced to psychologists at the workshop about the EuroPsy certificate held at Faculty of Arts, University of Maribor.

January 20: A public call for supervisors of mentors of supervised practice was released.

January 15: A public call for mentors of supervised practice, psychology students and psychologists beginners was released (on January 20 the call for mentors is published on the web portal of the Employment service of the Republic of Slovenia)
